À propos de ce bateau
The first picture shows it as I bought it, just after I made a new “orange box” stand for it .
Making a stand is one of the first things I do when restoring a model so I have something to stand it on when I am working on it, and it will later become its transport stand when I take it to the lake to run it.

I have already done quite a lot of the restoration work on this boat and I will continue to fit small jobs in on it, in-between other projects that are currently gaining favour !
There will probably be some time available as I make more progress with the Sprite Plus when I will be waiting for glues or paints to dry etc.
I would like to make a nice cockpit windscreen for it as I think it will finish it off nicely……and I have to decide whether or not to continue with the green and black colour scheme?
No doubt (like everything else that I do) it will just “happen” and it will emerge with a colour that “seemed OK at the time”.
…….but I am also keen to see this superb little Classic Model Power Boat on the water as I have NEVER seen one in action on the water before, and running Classic Model Power Boats is important to me to keep these old designs alive and for everyone else to be able to see them and enjoy them too.
They are also quite a talking point at the lakeside when people ask about the designs and are usually interested when I am able to tell them how old the designs actually are, who made kits originally, and any short history on the restoration of the model they can see on the water……hopefully making white water and performing well!
Bob.
Another one for the classic range cannot wait to see how this one sits in the water.

I don't know if knowing that makes you feel any better or not 😄

Some websites are a bit funny about some email providers, and won't always recognise them, or they block them. #If you were to create another, and free email address, you wouldn't need to actively use it, just use it for occasions like this where you're struggling to get registered on a site, or forum that you want to be on.

Thanks, Zooma! I’d love to follow your Rapier restoration thread, but unfortunately, I’m still having trouble with Model Boat Mayhem. The website doesn’t recognize my email, and despite several attempts, I haven’t been able to get access.
Would you happen to have a few photos of the hull, internal framing, or original plans that you could share here? Any information would be a tremendous help in solving the mystery of the Rapier!
